Although many grooming needs are universal, regardless of a dog’s breed, there are a number of ways that you should groom to your dog’s specific coat type. In this book, we will look at how to groom the curly-haired coat, which can be easy or difficult to care for, depending on the dog.
Before we launch into the book, however, I would like to start by listing a number of popular dog breeds that are known for having curly-haired coats. Please bear in mind that the list only covers AKC-registered breeds. There are many other dog breeds, including designer breeds, that have this type of coat and will need the grooming considerations detailed in this book.
